Editorial policy
Trusted Food Review aims to make food information clearer without overstating what a label, claim or general explanation can prove. Our editorial choices are guided by accuracy, transparency and a reader's ability to judge the evidence presented.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against appropriate sources and make a clear distinction between established information, interpretation and uncertainty. We explain relevant context rather than treating a single word or number as a complete answer. Articles are written in plain English, and we avoid claims that would require unsupported testing or specialist conclusions.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are kept distinct from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored article or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can tell what kind of content they are reading. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and commercial relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions.
Corrections
We welcome specific reports of errors or unclear wording through the Contact page. Include the article title, the passage in question and, where possible, the reason it needs attention. We review credible corrections and amend content when warranted, with a clear note when a change materially affects its meaning.
Images and illustration
Illustrations are used to clarify or complement an article, not as evidence for a factual claim. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where that is the case, we label them clearly. Illustrative images should not be mistaken for photographs of a particular product or scene unless explicitly identified as such.
A label is a starting point, not the whole story.
We unpack food language and everyday choices with care, separating what a package says from what a reader might reasonably infer.
